• The Apple Find My network includes Bluetooth wireless technology for crowdsourced finding and satellite connectivity for sending location via satellite in areas without cellular or Wi-Fi. Your tag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your Tag to iCloud — then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy.
• The Google's Find Hub technology is a crowdsourced network of Android devices that uses Bluetooth technology to help users find lost items, even if they are disconnected. It uses a combination of technologies to locate devices through the Find Hub network, including GPS, Bluetooth Low Energy (LE), Wi-Fi, and cellular data.

The Waypoint™ tag has an IP64 rating that provides enhanced protection from dust and water spray in any direction.

The Waypoint™ tag is covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Please note that this warranty does not cover battery replacement or normal battery depletion. All warranty claims are subject to final inspection and approval by Samsonite.

The Waypoint™ tag requires one (1) CR2032 coin battery (not included).

Battery life varies with usage, environmental conditions, replacement battery manufacturers, and many other factors; actual results will vary.

The Waypoint™ tag requires a CR2032 lithium metal battery, typically ≤0.07g lithium content, which is below aviation thresholds.

• CR2032-powered devices are allowed in both cabin and checked baggage.
• Battery must be non-rechargeable and securely enclosed.
• No need for battery removal instructions if the battery is sealed and below 0.3g lithium content.

• The tracking functionality uses Apple's Find My network and Google's Find Hub network.
• No personal data is stored by the device itself - it only broadcasts encrypted location beacons.
• All location data is encrypted end-to-end by Apple/Google's systems.
• Samsonite cannot access or view any customer location data.
• Law enforcement would need to go through Apple/Google with proper legal process to gain access to any travel data, Samsonite does not have access to this information.
• Only the device owner who has paired the Waypoint with their personal Apple ID or Google account can see the Waypoint™ tag location. The data is tied to the user's personal account and protected by their device authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode, etc.).
• The Waypoint™ tag tracking chip is embedded directly underneath the tag. This placement ensures it cannot be easily removed or tampered with, and being protected even while checked-in with the airline.
• If any Find Hub network accessory separated from its owner is seen moving with you over time, you will receive unknown tracker alerts on your phone which tells you how to find and disable it.
